Flats and shared access
Explain the floor, lift dimensions if known and building rules that affect moving bulky furniture. Include the distance to the entrance and the practical loading point. A Clock House address may also be described as Beckenham, so use the full postcode to remove ambiguity.
Working towards a handover date
Include the property handover date and preferred collection window. Availability needs confirmation; an enquiry is not a booking. Give yourself room to finish sorting and keep essential possessions separate from the clearance items.
Separate clearance from the moving load
During a Clock House move, label the furniture going to the next address separately from items intended for disposal. Packing boxes can look alike, especially when a room is nearly empty. Keep the clearance inventory short enough to check at handover and make clear whether loose bags are included. A rubbish collection request is not a request to transport retained belongings, so discuss those as separate arrangements with the relevant provider.
Keys, lift bookings and the final inspection
Where a tenancy ends on a fixed day, note when access stops and whether any building arrangements need to be made in advance. Do not share entry codes in the initial enquiry. If a managing agent must approve use of a lift or loading area, establish that before a proposed slot is treated as workable. Leave time for a final check of cupboards and storage after the agreed items have been removed.
